King George Sailing Club is active all year round sailing dinghies and windsurfers in all weathers with regular weekly Sunday races, Better Sailing and Youth Sailing Saturdays for new and young sailors. We run Taster Sessions so you can try sailing, and RYA courses to get you started in this great sport. Have you ever been sailing? Tried it on holiday and wanted to do more? Seen all those exciting photos and wished it was you?
Come along to the Club on any Sunday in March from about 10am, watch the sailing, talk to members and enquire about our Taster Sessions and Open Days.
Sailing is a great sport for all ages and abilities, those who just want to potter about, have a relaxed casual race, whilst others are keen to stretch themselves in much more challenging craft. It is an exciting way to keep fit, mentally and physically, achieving relaxation on what seems a world away from the day job, whilst only down the road.
King George Sailing Club (KGSC) is on the borders of Enfield and Chingford, one of many waterways in the Lea Valley Regional Park. The Club has been here for over 40 years and welcomes members from a radius of about 30 miles so is within easy reach of immediate local, and not quite so local, members.
We sail dinghies around 12 to 16 feet long, windsurfers, kayaks and paddle boards, all year round. Spring is just around the corner, only about a month away, with the days lengthening turning thoughts towards getting active and thinking about what new, exciting and challenging activity to take up in 2017.
