Opening hours
We are open year round, with sailing permitted from sunrise to sunset. However, you will find most people sail at weekends and bank holidays.
Members are required to sail under the buddy sailing system, ensuring that two craft are on the water at anyone time.
Access
Bus
Immediately outside the club there are two bus stops that are on the 313 route, which runs between Chingford and Potters Bar, passing through Ponders End, Enfield and Chase Farm.
Train
The nearest train stations are Ponders End and Chingford, on the Overground, allowing easy travel in from Central London. Both stations are served by the 313 bus, or are both approximately a 25 minute walk.
Cycling
We actively encourage as many of you to cycle as possible. Many members chose to use this method, with some travelling in from Stratford and South London to get to the club.
Car
Please note, the club is now lying inside the ULEZ. Your vehicle, if not complaint, is liable to a £12.50 charge.
We have access to a large car parking area. We kindly ask that you return your car to the car park once you have dropped your kit off and please do not park or drive on the grass in the boat park. Parking is free. Directions to King George Sailing Club can be found on Google Maps. Alternatively use postcode E4 7PX in your satellite navigation or smart phone.
